Just a reminder that we will be meeting tonight to discuss program management starting at 6pm. Please come out, we need your input.

Also, we made great headway in the float disassembly last night but we have some other items to finish and disassemble some of the field elements because we have little storage space. Please plan on Next Tuesday at 5:30pm to help out.

[Parents] Important Message Regarding Saturday-PLEASE READ

An issue came up last night after everyone left. PLEASE READ!!!

We spoke to the construction foreman last night and found out that they will be repaving the road in front of the building Saturday morning starting 7am. The road will be closed and we will have no access to the building so we have to change plans and here it is.

If you are able to stop by tonight 5pm we need help to dismantle part of the float and transport it to JCI on 32^nd street. We will also transport the black trailer to JCI. We will only be working on this until 7pm. We will install some of the black material at the same time. We plan to leave for JCI at 6:30pm tonight.

Saturday morning we will need everyone to meet us on 9^th street between College and Columbia at 10am. You are welcome to meet us at JCI in the morning at 9am. Please let me know if you choose to do so. We still have a bit of work to do and need to be set up if we want to be judged. Not sure if they will have number locations for the entries but if they do we are entry 16 in Division 6.

Curt, do we need anything tool wise? We need to get everything needed tonight.

Adam, Anything you/we need? I will be charging the batteries tonight in my office.

Also, if you are downtown Saturday we would like a copy of your pictures.

Lunch will be provided for those who come.

Road should be open for us later in the afternoon.

[Parents] Road Work by Building

Just to let everyone know that they are working on the road in front of our building. At noon today they were scraping a layer off to prepare for repaving. It was one lane traffic with a flagman at each end to allow traffic to flow. Be prepared for delays if it is still going on tonight. The road was closed last night. We are working on the float tonight.

[Parents] Parade Lineup Update

Okay, they made a change in the lineup. We are still in division 6 but now we are lined up on 9^th street WEST of Columbia. We will be located somewhere between College and Columbia and based on our number somewhere in the middle.

The time is near. The float is built but we need help decorating it. We have all the material and the Pneumatic staplers but we need bodies. Thursday at the building please come out at 5:30 so we can start covering the wood. We will also be meeting Friday night to get things packed and set for Saturday.

Saturday Schedule, we will be meeting at the building at 9am. We will need to leave before 10am to beat the traffic with this load. We need to be set up by noon if we want to be judged and win that award again. If you are meeting us at the parade in downtown we will be lining up on 9^th st just east of Columbia.

Let’s show the Holland and Tulip Time what a real float is.

[Parents] Float Update

Hey Y’all,

Just an update on the float progress. Last night we received the trailer and mounted the carpet, sides, wings and benches. Thursday we will be working on mounting the hoops and working on the back drop.

We have the lineup and we will be in Division 6 lining up on 9^th street. The parade is the 12^th and we only have a few days to finish this float. Let’s show Holland what Robotics is all about.

We, Code Red Robotics, are finalist for the West Michigan Wood TV Connecting with Community award, and should we win this award we will earn an entire year of free TV advertising (Public Service Announcements) in which we would help promote and grow FIRST robotics.

While having a good community impact is imperative, also having community support is important. I feel if we can circulate this throughout the FIRST robotics community and have people with Facebook accounts review and “like” it this will have an impact on the judging.
